Spring Break Cruise...

For Spring Break this year, we decided to take the kids on a cruise with our good friends The Cirwinski's, who moved from Little Rock to Ohio back in November. We wanted to get the kids together (we both have 3, ages 3-9) and we threw out many ideas and the crusie won!! Leading up to the day we left, the kids asked many questions about the boat, like "where will we sleep, where do we eat, they have a swimming pool on the boat??" etc. They had no idea what to expect and were pleasantly surprised. They loved reconnecting with their friends and having TONS of fun!! The cruise started in Tampa and we went to Grand Cayman and Cozymel. Ever since we've been home, the kids are constantly asking when we can go on another cruise.

This year, for the first time, we decided to have a joint birthday party for Grant and Nicholas since their birthdays are only a month (to the day) apart. I always said when they were both school age, we would combine them. It is so hard to fit a party in before Christmas and then one right after Christmas.
The party fell on Grant's actual birthday, January 8th. We had the party at War Memorial Stadium and it was a hit. We knew it would be a fun party because we had Grant's 6th brithday party there too. We had TONS of kids turn out (we actually ran out of cake-1/2 sheet cake, gone) and the adults weren't even offered any!!
The weather turned out great and the kids had a great time running around on the field playing football. As always, the dads probably had the most fun on the field.

So here it is, Christmas 2010! I think I finally loaded all of my pictures in chronological order. This first set of pictures is from December 23rd at my mom's house. We celebrated our Christmas and opened gifts this night with my mom, Darryl, Blake, and Jennifer since Christmas night we would be celebrating Christmas with my mom's extended family.

The Saturday after Thanksgiving, we headed out to War Memorial to tailgate at the Hogs vs. LSU game. My cousins from LA (David and Lauren + Chris and several of David's friends) gathered to watch the game. We had a great set up with about 4 spots on the golf course with a flat screen tv, firepit, grill and all!! We had a great time, especially since we WON!! David and Lauren want to make this a tradition, it was a great time with family and friends!!

Annual Trip to Garvan Gardens

It has become a tradition of ours to go to Garvan Gardens in Hot Springs every year the day after Thanksgiving. The boys and I go with Gigi and usually Jackson (her daughter, Catherine's son). The boys have so much fun running around and the Christmas light displays just keep getting bigger and bigger!! This is a FUN start to the Holiday season!!

Boy, has it been BUSY since my last post. I LOVE this time of year, but there is SO much going on. I haven't posted pictures from Halloween, but I decided I can't catch up, so I'll start here.

We spent Thanksgiving this year at Nana and Papa's. Uncle Beak and Aunt GiGi were there along with Uncle David. We had a relaxing day spent eating and watching football. Grant has really gotten into football this season and enjoys watching it on TV. It is amazing how fast he picked it up and how much he already understands about the game!!

Pumpkin Patch

Saturday we headed out to the pumpkin patch in Mayflower with Katherine and her girls, Ellie and Molly. The kids had fun, although it was sooo hot and the line for the hayride to the pumpkin patch was about 20 minutes long!!! Everyone got a chance to run around and play and pick out the perfect pumpkin. It's an October tradition, you gotta go!!

Fun Friday at Murray Park

Friday when the boys were out of school, we headed down to Murray park with footballs, electric scooters and battery operated 4-wheelers. It was such a nice day and the boys had fun playing on the playground, throwing rocks in the river, playing football, and riding scooters and 4-wheelers. We even got to see the Arkansas Queen paddle boat up close (and it honked at the boys). I love lazy fun days when the boys are out of school!!

Since the kids were out of school last Friday, we decided to go to the fair and stay out late Thursday night. Grant's friend Kayla went with us and Nana and Papa met us there. All of the kids got wristbands and rode rides over and over and over!! I love that my boys love to ride rides, they are not afraid of anything. We all had a great time eating and riding rides. I love this time of year and all the fun thungs that there are to do!!

Last Sunday we headed down to the river to celebrate Pepka's birthday. Blake, Jennifer, Catherine, Brian, Jackson, Owen, my uncle Roger and his girlfriend Jennifer were all there (along with dad and Scottie, or course). It's taken me almost a month to post these!! Harrison's first day of school was the Wednesday after Labor day. He goes to Asbury on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. Here are a few pictures of my silly goose, and to think I was worried he might CRY on the first day!! He barely had time to say bye, he loves his school!!

Labor day weekend, we headed up to the lake and we invited our great friends the Cirwinski's to join us. We have 6 kids combined (age range 3-9) and they all get along so well together!! The weather was great and we all had great fun out on the lake. Abby (the oldest) learned how to ski (only after about 3 tries to get up) and Grant skied and the other kids had fun tubing and jumping off the top of the boat. We sure will miss this wonnderful family when they move back to Ohio (in the near future). They will for sure be lifelong friends!!

School Days!!!

The kids now have a full week of school under their belts and things are going well. Nicholas just started kindergarten and he has had a rocky start, but the last few days have been better. He has shed lots of big crocodile tears, but I know its normal and its such a huge transition to be at a big elementary school compared to his relatively small pre-school. Grant is now in 2nd grade and has gotten off to a good start. I am amazed at how much faster kids now days learn things. He has a test every week over a chapter book he reads along with a spelling test and a vocabulary test!! Last Friday, he also had a math test, so that's 4 test in 1 day on the 1st week!! Harrison will start his pre-school next Wednesday and he has been enjoying some 1 on 1 time with his mama. He is such a sweet little boy and I have cherished spending some special time with just him. Mainly our time together has been spent at the grocery store, Target and out running various other errands, but he doesn't mind. Every night when we put him to bed, he asks "where are we going in the morning?"

The first day- Harrison wanted to be in the picture too and act like a big boy. The other night, I was getting the kids lunch boxes out and packing them and he brought me his and told me what he wanted and he set his backpack by his big brothers backpacks.

It's been so long since my last entry, I decided to make a post summarizing our summer so far. We have had a great one and have stayed super busy!! I can't believe in less than 2 weeks, I will have a kindergartener and a 2nd grader. Boy, does time fly!!

These first few pictures are just of the boys playing around with a bubble machine Harrison got for his birthday. Of course, they had to try to catch and pop them with their tongues.

Now, we move on to fun times at the lake. The boys have enjoyed the lake so much this year!! Grant even learned how to water ski!! It's just so slow paced up there, we can just relax and don't have to worry about the kids being run over by a car out in the front yard.

We went to Destin, Fl for a week in the middle of July and had an awesome time. Sorry, I didn't realize I put sooo many pictures of the beach on here. Oh well, you can see how much fun we all had!!

Some thing never change, you would think that now (at 5 years old) he would no longer have the desire to taste sand like he did when he was 2!! That's just Nick being Nick, I just have to shake my head and let him do it!!

I'm finally getting around to posting Harrison's 3rd Birthday Party pictures (over a month late, well; his party was late too)!! He had his party at our neighborhood swimming pool again this year; he probably will have it here every year!! Everyone had a great time swimming and playing in the pool. We didn't invite any of his school friends, so most everyone there was older; he is used to playing with his brothers' friends anyway!! He used to really get into singing Happy Birthday and blowing out the candles, but as you can tell from the pictures, he seemed kind of embarassed this year.

Last Friday, Nicholas had his Transitional Kindergarten graduation at Asbury. The kids looked so cute in their mini-caps and gowns. His class has been together for several years and is very tight knit. We will miss everyone next year when the kids go to different schools. Nicholas had two of the sweetest teachers this year- Ms. Trish and Ms. Tina, they made the year so much fun!! Congrats graduates!!

Harrison celebrated his 3rd birthday on Sunday May 23rd. I can't believe my baby is 3 already. I had such a wonderful, relaxing mother's day!! I got to sleep in and enjoyed spending time with the 3 beautiful boys who made me a mom. I also got to spend time with my wonderful mom!! The Friday before Mother's Day, I went to two spedial Mother's Day teas in Nicholas and Harrison's classroons at their preschool. Nicholas made me a tile with his handprint painted on it and Harrison made me a pictuer frame with a picture of hime in it. I just LOVE being a mama!!

We are currently into baseball full swing!! Nicholas and Grant are playing and we are spending many a night at Junior Deputy. It's become a fun filled family event and we all love to watch baseball. Nicholas is on the Padres and Grant is on the Braves. Both of the boys have several buddies (from school and boys they played with last year) on their teams, so that makes it fun in and of itself!! Grant has really started to really enjoy playing and he is really showing improvement. Nicholas is having fun-he loves to bat, but gets bored in the field. Harrison can't wait until he can start playing, and I just think I'm BUSY now!!

I just LOVE this time of year and I have always liked Easter!! The kids had so much fun hunting easter eggs and going over to Nana and Papa's for Easter lunch. We had a very relaxing, enjoyable time. Harrison is getting so much easier, I now trust him to play outside at my mom's (who lives in a cul de sac) with his brothers without worrying about him or having to chase him around. We had a GREAT Easter!!

Spring Break at the Beach!!

We made what has now become our annual spring break beach trip to Destin. Nana came along with us for some much needed R&R. Everyone had a great time and Ted and I actually got to sit on our beach chairs in the sand while watching the kids play without having to chase them around. The weather was not perfect (kinda chilly), but it didn't stop us from having FUN!!

Birthday Girls (& Ted's) Cruise to Cozumel

I am so behind on my posts! Things have been very busy lately. I wanted to make a post about my annual birthday trip with Katherine (same birthday, same year) and Ted and Chris. In previous years, we have gone to Las Vegas and New York. This year, we decided to go somewhere warm, Cozumel. We boarded the ship in New Orleans for a 4 day cuise to Cozumel. It was very relaxing because we had a full day at sea before and after our day in Cozumel. The weather was wonderful in Cozumel ( a warm 80 degrees). Our last day at sea was kind of windy and cool, so we spent a big part of the day in the hot tub. We had a great time talking and LAUGHING with our great friends. This trip was to celebrate Katherine and my birthday, but since we did it later this year, we actually came home on Ted's birthday!! Looking forward to next year already, going to Chicago!

Monday night we celebrated Ted's birthday with cake and US Pizza (which Scottie and Dad brought us). We had just gotten back from our cruise that afternoon and I was so glad they had planned a bday celebration for him!! His birthday kinda snuck up on me. We have so many birthdays in such a short period of time (Nicholas'-dec 8, mine-dec 20, Grant-jan 8, my mom-jan 22, Ted-feb 1, then Amber-feb 26). Then there is a break until Harrison May 23!! Grant celebrated his birthday Saturday with a party at the Athletic Club with lots of school buddies!!! They got to play in the big maze and then moved onto the gym floor for games (dodge ball, british bulldog and basketball). The kids got to expend lots of energy running around playing. With the weather being so cold, its been hard to let the kids be active and I think this is just what everyone needed!!!

We had a fun-filled New Year's Eve celebration with Pepka, Gigi, Blake, Jennifer, Charles, Catherine, Brian and Jackson. Our boys got a Wii this year for Christmas (I know, a few years later than most people) so we decided to have a fun-filled New Years Eve night playing Wii!! We played bowling, tennis and Family Feud. Nicholas lost his first tooth a few days after Christmas. He was so excited that the tooth fairy got to visit him this time instead of Grant!! A few days before he lost it, he and Grant were rough-housing and he came up to me and his mouth was bleeding, so I was worried he knocked that tooth loose, but felt better when we went to the dentist for a cleaning days later and he said there was already another tooth coming in where he lost that one. So, it really was ready!! Kids look so old when they start losing teeth.

Here it is, finally!!! I have such issues with uploading these pictures, it has taken forever!! Our Christmas festivities began on my birthday (December 20th) with Christmas at Nana and Papa's with Uncle Beak and Aunt GiGi. We celebrated my birthday and opened Christmas gifts with Beak and GiGi, since we wouldn't see them on Christmas morning. The boys got electric scooters from Nana and Papa and had so much fun riding them in their cul-de-sac. We worried about Nicholas because they are really for a bigger kid, but he caught on so fast.

Nicholas had his 5th Birthday Party at the AR Skatium Friday night. He was so excited on the days leading up to the party and really seemed to get into it this year!! Lots of his buddies from school came and everyone had fun riding their bikes and scooters!! We gave Nicholas his new bike when we first got there and he rode it around all night. Thanksgiving

I figured I should do a Thanksgiving post BEFORE it got to be Christmas!! This year, we had a low-key small group Thanksgiving at Nana and Papa's. It was easy for me because I didn't have to cook or clean!! The kids had fun riding bikes and playing outside after they ate. It's kind of nice to not have a HUGE group for Thanksgiving every year, we all had FUN!!

Branson

The 2nd weekend in November, we headed up to Branson to get away for a "mini-vacation". We stayed at a new hotel called Castle Rock that has an indoor water park!! The kids had so much fun and were able to swim late every night!! Ted took Grant and Nicholas on a helicopter ride over Table Rock lake and the boys loved it!! We went to Silver Dollar City one day and looked at all the Christmas light and rode a few rides (lines were long, sooo crowded). We all had a great time and when I asked the kids what their favorite part of the weekend was they said swimming at the hotel (go figure, the only entertainment that was free)!!

Several weeks ago we took Ted's 4-wheeler back in the woods in our neighborhood where we found a beautiful spot by a creek to try to get some cute pictures of the boys. The individual pictures turned out pretty good, but it is impossible to get a good one of all 3 of them. Anyway, it was fun and when we were done, all of the boys ended up wading in the creek!! Such a beautiful fall setting!!

Halloween 2009

This year was the best Halloween ever, hands down!! I got this idea of a trick or treating hay ride from some of our good friends last year. So, we brought our 4 wheeler and trailer home from the lake and I decorated the trailer and filled it with hay and we were all set for FUN!! We had our drinks in hand, a radio with the HOGS on for Blake and my dad, and every blanket that I own because it was kind of chilly!! The adults took turns going up to the houses and trick or treating with the kids, we had 12 adults and 4 kids!! It was a blast and we were surprised to see about 5 other trailers in our neighborhood with the same idea. We are already looking forward to next Halloween!!

Pumpkin Carving

Since we had 1 rain free afternoon yesterday, I decided it would be the perfect time to carve our pumpkins!! I was so excited and we got started as soon as the kids got home from school!! They were interested at first-Grant and Nicholas each got to pick a design. When I opened the first pumpkin and wanted them to clean it out, they immediately lost interest and thought it was gross. I was so suurprised considering they would take a bath in mud if I would let them. Oh well, Harrison was the only one who helped with his little shovel. He was fine as long as his hands stayed clean. Here's to another year of pumpkin carving. The kids did like the finished product however!!

AR State Fair 2009

We started out our fun-filled long weekend Thursday night with a trip to the fair. We were so glad the wet weather left so we could get outside for some fun!! Nana and Papa met us out at the fair for some good fun, food and rides!! This year, Harrison was tall enough to ride the kiddie rides (we even got him a ride bracelet)and he had a ball!! Grant was too tall to ride some of the kiddie rides and Nicholas was able to ride the kiddie rides and some of the big rides. Grant and Nicholas would have ridden every ride there if the could have. They really don't seem to have any fear where rides are concerned. We all had a blast and want to get out there earlier next year so we can stay longer!!

Pumpkin Patch

Grant was out of school on Friday, so we headed out to the pumkin patch in Mayflower. The sun was finally shining and it wasn't too muddy (although I made the boys wear rain boots). We went on a hayride out to the pumpkin patch when we first got there and everyone picked out whatever pumpkin they wanted (Grant a big orange one, Nicholas a green one he pulled off the vine himself and harrison a little orange one that he toated around all by himself). After the hayride the kids played on the playgroung, ran through the hay tunnels and looked at all of the farm animals. Grant ran into 3 of his buddies from school and had a great time playing with them. Another great October tradition!!

We ended our fun-filled long weekend with going to Magic Screams (Springs) Saturday with Gigi. I have been wanting to take the kids to this and finally did. Gigi was excited to go with us and she was a big help too! I still hesitate to take all of the somewhere like this by myself!! The park was all decorated for Halloween. The kids enjoyed riding the rides and going trick-or-treating at the trick-or-treat stations. The weather was beautiful and we all had a super time. After being there about 41/2 hours, we were all worn out!!

Tuesday night we celebrated Pepka's 63rd Birthday with dinner, cake and visiting with family. We all rarely get together due to everybody's busy weekly schedules, so getting together on a week night was fun. It was kept low key (just how Pepka likes it). The kids just love when we celebrate birthdays and when people come over, so they were in heaven. Happy Birthday Pepka!!

Sweet Baby Harrison...

I call Harrison a baby when he is older than Grant was when I had Nicholas and about the same age Nicholas was when I had him!! The other 2 boys just seemed so much older at his same age. I guess its just because we know he is our last and in some sense he will always be the baby. Although he doesn't seen like a baby when you talk to him..everyone is amazed at his vocabulary and ability to pronunciate words. He never has talked baby talk and talks like at least a 3 maybe even 4 year old!! He is such a sweet boy and he has really added so much joy to our lives!!

The other night I actually cooked a good meal and he threw a fit wanting pancakes (which mean waffles), so what did I do-fixed him eggo waffles and let him eat on a tv tray while watching Wizard of oz (his favorite movie). Never say never-When Grant was this age I would have NEVER let him do this, but these days I would do about anything to enjoy some peace and quiet during dinner!!

I don't know what it is about not having a shirt on, but my boys LOVE it!! I can hardly keep a shirt on Nicholas. Next summer, I think I'll save money and not buy him any shirts because no matter what day-at the end of it he is shirtless!! Grant and Nicholas will take their shirts off if they get hot outside and then they go over to Harrison and take his off too!! Oh well, at least they aren't girls wanting to run around shirtless. Grandparent's Day at Baker

Grant celebrated Granparent's Day at Baker at the end of September with 2 sets of his grandparents. It is such a huge event, I am always amazed at how many granparent's show up to eat lunch, go to the Book Fair and get a tour of the school and their grandchild's classroom. Grant loves showing his school off and getting ALL the attention from his grandparents. It was a beautiful day, so we enjoyed lunch outside at a picnic table and then Grant took us to the bookfair (where his grandparents bought him LOTS of books)!! He then took everyone to his classroom and showed us his desk and the work he's been doing. Here's to another FUN Grandparent's Day at Baker!!

Turtles, Playing and my Litttle HOGS!!

These are just some pictures of what we've been up to lately. It seems like critters are just drawn to my boys. The other day, I walked out in the back yard and they had found 2 box turtles. These poor turtles, of course the boys want to keep their new pets. I told them no turtles in the house. Look at poor Harrison's turtle, it wouldn't even peek it's head out of the shell. Grant also always finds frogs. No matter where we are he seems to be holding and playing with a frog. They also find snakes in the back yard. Several weeks ago, they were under the deck trying to catch a "lizard", well that lizard turned out to be a snake. Thank goodness it wasn't a poisionous one!! What can I say," Boys will be Boys".

I finally gave in to my oldest son's requests....and I decided to let him start riding the bus home from school!!! He has been bugging me since last year and I don't know why I've been hesitant...He gets home before we did when I picked him up, my other kids get an uninterrupted nap, he rides with several friends that were in his class last year and some of his new friends from class this year, and most importantly HE LOVES IT!!! First Day of School cont.

Harrison's 1st day of school was today. He goes to Asbury on Mon, Wed and Fridays. He was such a BIG, BRAVE boy this morning when I dropped him off. I told him to have a good day and then he told be to have a good day and walked in with Nicholas. Nicholas is such a good big brother, he walks Harrison to his classroom. When I picked Harrison up, his teacher said he had a good day, but cried between lunch and nap time. She patted his back and he fell asleep at nap time and actually took a good nap. Here's to all around good 1st days this year!!!

This year Nicholas is in the Transitional Kindergarten class at Asbury, which is 5 days a week. Tuesday was his first day of school. He has 12 kids in his class and 6 were in his class last year. He originally told me he wanted me to walk him in to his classroom and when we got there he said to just drop him off at the front door. Such a big boy-can't believe he'll be in kindergarten next year!!!

Labor Day Weekend Extravaganza!!!

We had a fun filled Labor Day Weekend. It's kind of sad to see the summer go, we sure had a good one!!! We headed up to the lake and enjoyed time out on the boat and the guys had a great time on the 4-wheeler. We all had so much fun, we are heading back up this weekend to squeeze in some more lake time before the fall approaches.

This weather we've been having has forced us to stay OUTSIDE!!! We've been enjoying it so much!! Monday, we just had to go to the zoo. When Grant was little, we had zoo memberships and went all the time. Well, with Harrison we haven't been too much. The poor child, this was probably only his 3rd or 4th time to the zoo (and the first since he's turned 2). We had a great time and there were actually a lot of animals out that we could see, the train was broken though (bummer). When Grant found out what we did while he was at school, he wasn't too thrilled-oh well, we'll take him this fall on 1 of his teacher work days when he's out of school.

Last Friday night we went over to mom's house for a birthday celebration honoring Blake's 28th birthday!! Of course, the kid's had a great time-they just love birthday's and CAKE !!! As you can see from the pictures, Harrison blew out the candles and we had to relight the candles at least 2, maybe even 3 times!! Happy Birthday Blake, I can't believe you are sooo old!!

Well, it's now official, I have a 1st grader now!!! Starting schoool this year was definitly easier for me than last year!! Grant did great, it's like starting 1st grade is old news, no big deal. He posed for my pictures then told me bye and that was that. What a sleepy, gloomy, foggy morning to start school. I know Grant is having a great day right now, I can't wait to hear all about it!!

The Beach 2009

We just got home from our bi-annual beach trip. We had a blast as usual!! Once again we stayed at Waterscape on Oakaloosa Island-right outside of Destin. The kids just love the pools there and for the 1st time really enjoyed getting in the ocean. The water was so beautiful and just the right temperature. We once again went with our friends, Brooke and Mitchell Keathley-who probably don't want kids after this trip :) What can I say, boys will be BOYS!!!

Nicholas really ventured out in the water this trip and has learned to "doggie paddle". This child has come a long way since spring break when he would barely put his big toe in the water!! Harrison manuvers around in his life jacket just great and is so easily entertained. Grant is my beach bum, in the afternoons when Nicholas and Harrison were taking a nap he and I would head down to the beach and just sit there and relax, he really loves being at the beach. Each year keeps getting easier and easier with the boys getting older, next year should be a breeze at ages 3,5,&7. Beach -we'll miss you til next year, until then we have pictures to remember all the fun times...

This past weekend, we had The Mason's (Chris, Katherine, Ellie and Molly) up to the lake with us. We all had a great time riding on the boat, jumping in from the top, tubing, EATING and the kids had a great time playing and exploring!!! The weather was just perfect, a GREAT weekend with friends!!!

4th of July

We spent the weekend at the lake and had a great time. Aunt Donna, Uncle John, Austin, Peyton, Nana and Papa joined us for fireworks and some fun in the sun (well, partly sunny with some sprinkles). We headed up early Friday and everyone else made it up by Friday evening. We did LOTS of fireworks, stayed out on the boat all day Sat, went out sat night to see the fireworks display at Sandy Beach and all hung out Sun with more firework (courtesy of Austin-piromaniac). It was a great weekend and the boys were in heaven, they are starting to get so much easier to take care of-especially up there. Here's the weekend in pictures-

Last week Grant went to a golf summer camp at the "First Tee of Arkansas". This was his first "golf experience" and he loved it!! We are trying to let the kids experience several different sports so tht they can then find out which they enjoy the most and want to pursue. Grant had a great time and knew several of the kids there. He is now lobbying for his own set of clubs!!!

Weekends at the Lake

We haven't been to the lake so far this summer as much as the kid's would like-if it were up to them, it would be every weekend!!! They have so much fun riding around on the boat-tubing and riding around on the 4-wheeler. We are gearing up for the 4th of July and got a head start on the fireworks this past weekend. Nicholas always says 4th of July is his favorite holiday (which is something for a kid his age), he just loves fireworks!!! I wish he were a little more scared of them-he has no fear. Here's to summer's at the lake!!!

I had to post pictures of my baby on his first day of "school". I decided to ease him into the idea of going to school, so I am sending him to Asbury on Tues. and Thurs. this summer from 9-12. His first day was last Tues. and he had a great day. They said he cried just for just a minute once he realized I was gone, but had sooo much fun!! He is going with Nicholas and thinks he is such a BIG boy now. These aren't the best pics, but it's all I could get on our way out the door. I am looking forward to spending some special time with Grant this summer while Harrison and Nicholas are at school.

Well, Grant's 2nd year of Baseball is offically over!!! Grant had such a fun season and dramatically improved over the last few months. In his league, you get to try to hit the ball from the pitching machine and if you don't hit it after 3 tries, you get to hit it off the tee. At the beginning of the season, I didn't think Grant would ever get a hit from the pitching machine, but he did!!! The last game was his best, with 3 hits!!! His last game was last night and afterwards everyone met at Sonic for ice cream and TROPHIES!!! He just loves his new trophy!!! GO PIRATES!!!

I am now the mom of a future 1st grader!!! Today was Grant's last day of school!! I just wanted to recap the many special, FUN days Grant has had at school lately!!! Last week, he had both Splashdown Day and Field Day. Splashdown is a kindergarten event where the Crystal Hill Fire Department comes and sprays the kids with water hoses. It looked like soooo much fun, all of the kids had a great time!!! Then he had Field Day a few days later, which included a dunking booth, bounce houses, a DJ playing music and your traditional field day events!!! Both days were SOOOOOO much fun!!!! First grade, here we come!!!

Birthday Pool Party!!!

Harrison's actual birthday was May 23rd, but we celebrated with pool party last night at our neighborhood pool. The kids had so much fun, most of them didn't want to get out of the pool to eat or do the pinata. It was a perfect night for a pool party- hot at first, but when the sun started going down, the temperature was just perfect. We had all kinds of food, cake, ice cream, snowcones, and candy from the pinata-SUGAR, SUGAR, SUGAR!!! Harrison had a great time and so did his brothers. I predict many more birthday pool parties for Harrison, I just love being able to have a warm weather party, instead of December and January!!!

My BABY turns 2 years old tomorrow!!! I can't believe it, these have been the fastest 2 years ever!!! It's amazing how much JOY this 1 person has added to our lives. Harrison is the sweetest, smartest and most cuddly little boy. His big brothers love him to pieces and so do his mommy and daddy. Have a great birthday (Harry D, Rugrat, Sweet Pea). I thought these were sweet pictures of Harrison and Nicholas. When Grant's at school, they play really well together. But, when you have the 3 of them together, 1 usually gets left out or picked on. I just love to see them really enjoy each others company!!!

My brother, Blake graduated from the U of A Law School this past Saturday. We are so glad he and Jennifer will be moving here this summer and he will start working at Wright, Lindsey and Jennings in August. Harrison always wants to be doing what his older brothers are doing. Yesterday (on his own) he went into the garage and brought out the baseball tee and bat. Then he wanted his hat on. He was actually hitting the ball!!! It's funny how little ones mimic behavior. It will be interesting to see what kind of ball player he turns out to be!!!
