Every year we attend the Tiny Hands Monster bash, an event benefiting the UAMS Family Home and the NICU at UAMS (where I am a nurse part-time). As you can see, it is a costume party, which makes it extra fun!!!

Pumpkin Patch
October is just not October without a visit to the pupkin patch. We have been blessed with such great weather that we just had to get out and enjoy it. Friday we headed out to Mayflower for a visit to the pumpkin patch and a picnic lunch. The kids loved the hayride to the patch and loved that they each got to pick their own pumpkin. After the hayride, the kids played on the playgroud equipment and got to pet the farm animals. You've just got to love this time of year!!!!
Harrison and daddy on the hayride
Grant loves to pose for the camera, he told me "Mama that would be a great spot for you to take my picture", so that's what I did. Harrison as a witch
Nicholas, on the other hand, hates to have his picture made- look at that face
"I think I need a break to suck my thumb"(Sure sign he's getting tired)
"That's mine, NO that's Mine"

Night at the Fair with Nana and Papa
Last Tuesday night we went tothe State Fair. I remember going to the fair as a kid and even now I look forward to it. Nana and Papa met us there and we all had such a good time. It amazes me how Grant and Nicholas want to ride every ride, even the ones they aren't tall enough to ride, they seem to have no fear. Even Harrison got to ride a ride (the height requirement was only 24 inches on the helicopters), he rode twice and squealed the whole time. Fun was had by ALL!!!!!

Pepka's Birthday Party
We celebrated Pepka's birthday last monday night at the park in our neighborhood (we decided it's best if the kids stay happy). We chose this over going out to eat (dad, we owe you a dinner out!!!). It was a wonderful night . The boys, along with Jackson had fun running around playing and the adults enjoyed barbecue and conversation. Catherine, Brian, my aunts Miriam & Melinda, and my uncle Roger were able to join the celebration. Happy Birthday Dad/Pepka, We Love You!!!

Fun Times with Pepka and GiGi
We had a great weekend this past weekend!!! Since Ted had to work (it's October!!!), the boys and I met Pepka and GiGi in Hot Springs and we went to the Arts and Crafts Fair. When you tell kids fair, they automatically think rides. We had to explain no rides, but they had just as much fun!!! They played on the big inflatables, Nicholas rode a pony, they got to pet many different animals (Grant loved the kitten). After the Arts & Crafts fair, we went to the lake house and the boys played, while Pepka mowed the yard. We ended our fun day eating at Chili's before heading back home. This made for an easy day for me without Ted. My kids love to Go,Go,Go just like me!!!!

Grant's field trip to the zoo
Grant's kindergarten class went on their first field trip to the zoo yesterday, it was a beautiful day and the kid's had a GREAT time!!!! I was assigned 2 other boys in Grant's class (Will and Kyro)to tour the zoo with and look at all the animals. Nicholas was lucky to get to tag along with the big boys!! After the zoo, we went to War Memorial Stadium and the kid's got to eat sack lunches in the bleachers. After lunch, the kid's got to go out on the field and play with frisbees, footballs, and soccer balls. I don't remember kindergarten being soooo much fun!!!
