Spring Break at the beach

Over spring break we made what is now becoming our annual trip to the beach. We went to Oakaloosa Island, which is a few miles from Destin. We have found a complex of condos that is soooo neat for kids, they have multiple pools, a lazy river, kid's movie night by the pool. It is sooo fun for kids!!! This year we were joined by Mitchell & Brooke Keathley, which added to the fun. They are sooo good with the kids and the kids just love them!!! Nana also went with us and got some much needed R&R and kept the kids while we went out to dinner at night, which was great. Sorry, I didn't mean to post this many pictures, anyway it gives you a good idea of the fun we had. We can't wait to go back this summer!!!

Beantiful view outside our patio doors!!!

All smiles for Mr. Harrison

Nicholas even likes to climb palm trees

Grant frolicking in the waves With some friends he met from Illinois

The boys getting their airbrushed tattoos-1 of the highlights of the trip for them!!!

The boys with daddy in the hot tub-they spent a lot of time here, since the water in the non-heated pools and the ocean was soooooo cold!!!! Nicholas playing on the steps (this is his preferred spot in the pool-hopefully he'll be swimming by the end of the summer)

Family shot by the heated pool

Brooke and I at one of our dinners out without kids (Nana came with us and got to relax during the day and kept the kids 3 nights while we went out)!!!!

We've got a seafood eater!!! Brooke and Mitchell introduced Grant to lobster and crab legs and he loved both-I'm so glad-since Ted and I aren't seafood eaters!!

Beach pictures-we had perfect weather the whole time, I'm so ready for it to be warm here!!!

Grant found a frog and wanted his picture taken with it, but wouldn't hold it, that's Brooke holding it. While I packed, Mitchell entertained the boys by pushing them around on this cart!!
These were actually taken on the way home from the beach-from the smiles, you might think it was on the way down. Thankfully they are all so good in the car-thank goodness for the DVD player!!!!!

Wye Mountain

We made our annual trip to Wye Mountain to see the daffodils a few weeks ago. I am always amazed at how beautiful the flowers are and how many there are. The kids had fun running around, but of course they wouldn't cooperate when it came to taking pictures!!! This is an annual tradition we just couldn't miss!!! I remember taking Grant out there for the first time when he was only 2 months old, we have a nice collection of pictures taken here over the years.

Tree Climbers

My boys should live on some land in the country with a bunch of trees!!! If there is a tree to climb, they don't waste any time-they are climbing it!!! It's like they are naturally drawn to them, maybe they're part monkeys!!! I'm glad that they like being out in nature. They would much rather be outside playing than inside watching tv or playing video games. So, here's to tree climbing!!!

What's been going on with Grant at school??

I had to post a few recent pictures of Harrison and Nicholas before I get into Grant and what's been going on at his school- Harrison just turned 21 months old and is such a SWEET-HEART. I can't believe 2 years old is just around the corner. Nicholas is doing GREAT in gymnastics and looks forward to going to the beach for Spring Break!!!

A Lot has been going on for Grant at his school. Yesterday, kindergarteners celebrated Dr. Seuss' Birthday and Read Across America Day with a book marathon where parent volunteers read books in different areas and small groups of kid's rotated through getting to listen to FUN Dr. Seuss books... Last week, Grant was Character Kid for the 2nd time this year. "Character Kids are like what "Good Citizens" were to me at my elementary school (kid's that set a good example in the way that they behave and perfom at school)-WAY TO GO GRANT!!!
